  5. We Went Dancing

Restored Portrait EP is a collection of four tracks originally recorded in 1998 for a production of Ewen Caden Moore's musical 'Portrait Of An Unknown Woman' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Using the original analogue master tapes, each track was digitally reconstructed during 2009 using a mixture of the original recording and additional overdubs by the present band. The resulting EP was released in April 2010. The band are currently remastering the EP to prospectively re-release later in 2011 including an additional track.

Lyrics

Summer

Did you never entertain the notion of leaping
Onto the breeze that turns the windmills?
Off of the roofs like Paris awaits you?
Up to the stars and across the ocean?

The Man With The Hair Like That

Sometimes he's invisible - it makes him want to cry
Blending into all the pretty people floating by

Indoor Fireworks

Is it a cop-out to want to be happy?
To feel like dancing on the desks strewn around me?

Expressions Of Love

And you had your friends in their yellow citreons
Driving to the other side of town
Where the tower blocks beat me up

We Went Dancing

And you had your friends in their yellow citreons
Driving to the other side of town
Where the tower blocks beat me up
